Best places to Ride ATVs in Florida

1. Apalachicola National Forest, Silver Lake

Silver Lake is just 8 miles from the state capital of Tallahassee. There is an atv riding area with over 100 miles of trails and play areas. This area is prone to rainy periods and can get muddy. Recommended for bigger bikes and quads due to the deep sand and mud. There is a cost of $10 per operator for 3 days.


2. Big Scrub Recreation Area

Located in the southern portion of Ocala National forest is Big Scrub. A campground with sandy trails for ATV riding With 47 miles of twisting Trails through scrub pine this is truly a unique trail worth riding. There is a campground nearby with showers and other amenities but no RV hookups.



3. Bone Valley ATV Park

This 200 acre ATV park in Polk County has everything OHV enthusiasts love, it has designated one way tails and also a large open play area. One of a few trails on this list with a concession stand it truly has everything. Good for beginners and more experienced riders alike. Fees are up to $20 for non resident riders.

4. Peace River Campground

In Arcadia Florida is Peace River Campground. This is more of an RV park with trails than a dedicated rider hub. With several miles of trails, a beach and many more activities there's even some festivals. This is great for someone looking for a weekend outdoors where you can spend some time on your quad. This is perfect for you.


5. Sandlot Adventure Park

Located in Punta Gorda Florida Sandlot is a huge course with over 1100 acres and 30 miles of trails this is the perfect place to get out and just ride. Technical tracks and open areas for everyone's favorite riding styles. With camping, beaches, and paintball this is the ultimate outdoors experience.



6. Tate’s Hell State OHV System

Located along the gulf to the southwest of Tallahassee. Tate’s Hell has 150 miles of trail that winds through the forests and swamp along the southern rim of the panhandle. This is bald eagle territory and there also has been some panther sightings in the area. This is named after farmer Cebe Tate who went hunting after a panther that ate his livestock and emerged after a week stating “My name is Cebe Tate and I just came from hell”



7. Clear Creek OHV

A beginner friendly park in the panhandle north of Milton off of 87. There are 57 miles of windy trails through the forest. There is a separate MX track and a special track for youth riders. A relatively flat set of trails this is great for amature riders. There is camping in the area or you are just 15 miles from Black Water National Park.



8. Croom Motorcycle Area at Withlacoochee State Forest

Home track of Xgames champion Ryan “Siggy” Renner Croom is located between Tampa and Orlando. There are 2,600 acres of space dedicated to OHVs.Croom Motorcycle Area. It has its own campground for staying overnight, and there are other accommodation as well.

9. Extreme Kids MX

This ATV center was built just for kids ages 4+.. Located north of Spring Hills in Brooksville this is great for young riders looking to learn to ride without being intimidated by bigger quads. Extreme Kids includes a peewee track, a main track for the bigger kids multiple practice areas and concessions for your breaks.

10. Spyder MX Action Sports Complex

This is MX with a modern touch. With multiple tracks and modern facilities that include concessions and air conditioning. There is a peewee track and on site training sessions available, Spyder has something that enthusiasts can enjoy all day. Boasting big jumps and on site camping this is one of the newest and most advanced complexes of its kind in the state.
